DAY 1:
Depart early morning for our lunchtime crossing, from Dover or Folkestone to France. We continue to our hotel in Kamp-Bornhofen arriving late evening, where we are met with a welcoming drink, sandwiches, tea and coffee.
DAY 2:
Rudesheim - One of the most visited places in Germany. When it comes to natural beauty, castles, monuments, wines, gastronomy, there’s hardly a place that matches it! A chance to visit the famous Asbach Brandy visitor centre or take a cable car above the town for spectacular Rhine Valley views.
DAY 3:
Cochem - An excursion up the Mosel Valley to Cochem, a town whose foremost sight is the large Reichsburg castle. Rising high above the town, the castle’s many spires and walls stand out against the green trees. The city’s square has pastel coloured or half timbered buildings and Baroque towers.
DAY 4:
Koblenz - A feature day on the historic Rhine, visiting Koblenz where the Rhine and Mosel meet, Boppard and St Goar. Photo opportunities at every bend with medieval towns and ancient castles. A chance for an optional cruise.
DAY 5:
Departing after breakfast, we head for Calais. Time permitting you can stock up on wines and spirits before your crossing back to the UK and our return journey home. Please Note: This tour operates an early morning departure, arriving at your hotel late evening on the first night. Similarly, we return home late evening on the Friday.
