GUIDED TOUR OF DUBLIN
A wonderful day to the cultural Capital of Southern Ireland, Dublin. Joined by our Irish Guide, a favourite of Majestic clients for many years, we learn the fascinating
history of the fair city; from Viking settlement to Norman invasion, from British rule to Irish independence, home of many great artists from James Joyce, Yeates, Shaw, Becket and Wilde to U2.
The stories bring the city to life. Then, a chance to visit the Guinness Brewery, Trinity College and museums, cross the Ha-penny Bridge or relax in a bar and listen to the blarney!
ENTRANCE TO POWERSCOURT ESTATE GARDENS & THE WICKLOW MOUNTAINS
Into the scenic Wicklow Mountains. Visiting Avoca (the setting for the popular BBC TV series “Ballykissangel”) and Glendalough, one of Ireland’s most beautiful and historic centres; ancient churches and monuments set in the green valleys of County Wicklow. We visit Powerscourt Estate Gardens. Explore the magnificent 47 acre gardens, voted 3rd best garden in the World Marvel at the sublime blend of formal gardens, sweeping terraces, statues and ornamental lakes, secret hollows and rambling walks.
KILKENNY
A tour to Ireland’s most generously preserved medieval town, Kilkenny. Atmospheric narrow lanes (‘slips’) have changed little over the centuries. Chanceto visit the magnificent castle, the thirteenth century St. Canice’s Cathedral,the Black Abbey, or simply relax in a traditional bar with a pint of Guinness.
