HOLIDAY ITINERARY

SATURDAY First to the Kent coast
and our crossing to Calais. (On to Brussels and
the quality three star Novotel airport hotel,
Mercure Hotel or similar).
SUNDAY - ACROSS BELGIUM AND
INTO GERMANY visiting historic Aachen,
and on to the Rhine and Lahnstein near Koblenz
and the superb Mercure Hotel.
MONDAY A full day exploring the
memorable Rhine, from the historic Koblenz (founded
by the Romans at the juncture of the Rhine and
Moselle rivers), down to Boppard and St Goar.
Delightful shops filled with the best in hand
crafted wood. Beautiful homes and churches attest
to past glories.
TUESDAY A journey to the Rhine is
never complete without a romantic cruise. Enjoy
the short journey by coach to St. Goarshausen
where we board our vessel for a gentle cruise
along the Rhine to Rudesheim. May the voices of
the Maidens of the Loreley remain silent! Fabulous
scenery, battlements and castles. Explore Rudesheim,
with its narrow streets lined with cafes and wine
cellars, mountain cable car and home to the renowned
Asbach Brandy Factory.
WEDNESDAY A day along the green
Moselle, past famous vineyards and monuments to
Cochem. A chance to sample and stock up on the
world famous wines.
THURSDAY - VALKENBURG We leave the
Rhine and return to Belgium and our Hotel. On
route we call into famous dutch spa town of Valkenburg.
