DAY We head home via Wiltshire, passing
through Marlborough, Chippenham and the Mystical
village of Avebury— circled by giant stones
older than Stonehenge. We arrive home early

The 3 Star Abingdon Four Pillars Hotel fully
refurbished for 2007, is renowned for its friendliness,
a warm welcome and pleasant stay. Situated 8 miles
south of Oxford, the hotel is central for the superb
itinerary. The hotel boasts a delightful ‘Atrium’
Restaurant and Bar. Many rooms are on ground and
first floors - no lift.
EXCURSIONS INCLUDE

BATH Departure day includes our first
stop - Bath, the famed Roman Spa. Time to enjoy the
elegant town, visit the baths or stroll the shops.
We travel on through the Vale of the White Horse to
Abingdon.
COTSWOLDS & BLENHEIM PALACE
A tour of England’s precious countryside as we travel
into the heart of the Cotswolds, passing through Bourton-on-the-Water.
Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Norton. On to ancient
Woodstock where we visit the majestic Blenheim Palace
- birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Entrance is
included to the magnificent grounds with a guided
tour of the state rooms and exhibits.
OXFORD A short run to the historic city
of Oxford. Ancient colleges back on to rivers draped
by willows and bridges. You are free to explore the
museums (such as the world renowned Ashmolean), colleges
and quadrangles, parks and river walks, cruise or
punt the Thames, visit the animatronic “Oxford Story”
or simply shop. We thoroughly recommend the Oxford
Bus Tour on which you can ride all day with commentary,
gossip and shocking tales.
WINDSOR Passing through Henleyon- Thames,
we visit the Royal City of Windsor. A full day with
time to view the Castle (entrance not included) and
its treasures, and the many quality shops.
EVENING TOUR After dinner a short drive
in to the countryside to the Rose Revived Inn on the
banks of the River Thames. Relax with a drink by the
tranquil river. |
