Ostend

Ostend is truly the “city by the sea”. The Queen of Belgian beaches combines the warm cosiness of a small Flemish resort with the glamour of an historic city. In the 19th century Ostend was the favourite meeting place for the aristocracy. This illustrious royal history can be seen around the City. Ostend has several beaches, all these beaches are boarded by an 8km long, trafficfree tiled promenade. If you walk down the promenade, you can rest in the bistro with large sun terrace on the pier. Other notable attractions include the beautifully landscaped parks, the 100m high Europa tower, busy shopping streets and markets.

HOLIDAY ITINERARY

DAY 1: Depart early morning for our transfer to Dover or Folkestone for our channel crossing around lunch time. We then continue to our hotel in Ostend.

DAY 2: Along the coast and back into France for a visit to famous Dunkirk. Visit the beaches, harbour and promenade. Or, simply relax in Ostend enjoying the sights and Belgium shopping.

DAY 3: A leisurely drive to nearby medieval Brugge. A glorious city with canals and ancient buildings.

DAY 4: Depart the hotel mid morning for our return journey to Calais. Time permitting you can stock up on wines and spirits before your crossing back to UK and our return journey home.
