The Arrochar Hotel - Beautifully situated on the shore of Loch Long, the hotel offers magnificent views of the mountains beyond. The hotel has lifts to most floors. Hotel entertainment is provided in the large lounge bar. * March 3rd and 17th will be at the Argyle Hotel in Inverary. A lovely hotel on the waterfront (please note: no lift).

HOLIDAY ITINERARY

GRETNA GREEN & LOCH LOMOND We depart the South West and head for Scotland with frequent stops on route. With time permitting, we stop in Gretna Green before continuing on to Loch Lomond and on to the Arrochar hotel. Arriving at approximately 7.00pm.

LOCH FYNE & OBAN A full day tour of wonderful scenery. First to white washed Inverary on the shores of Loch Fyne – an old lochside town with museum and castle in a delightful setting. On to Oban, the ‘Gateway to the Isles’, Back to Arrochar, passing below Ben Cruachan and on through Tyndrum.

STIRLING A full day to Scotland’s glorious ancient capital Stirling. Visit the historic Castle, the home of the Stuart Kings, or the Gothic church of the Holy Rude where James VI was coronated, later to become James I of England and the first monarch of a United Kingdom. Nearby Bannockburn testifies to not so friendly times.

THE TROSSACHS & ABERFOYLE Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. A day into the Queen Elizabeth Park and Aberfoyle. For those that wish, an opportunity for a cruise on Loch Lomond (fare not included)
