Staying
at the famous 3 Star Petwood Hotel
One of Lincolnshires gems. Set in the delightful
village of Woodhall Spa, the half timbered hotel
provides quality and atmosphere. Fondly remembered
as the officers mess of the famous ‘Dambusters’
(a Barns Wallace Bomb sits in the garden), the hotel
is set in 30 acres of gardens and woodland. Attractive
rooms with all the facilities you require and an
excellent restaurant .

EXCURSIONS
INCLUDE
THE CITY OF LINCOLN. Explore this treasure
trove of England’s History. Chance to visit the Castle,
see the Magna Carta which dates to 1215 and is the
foundation of modern liberty. Visit the Cathedral
(used in the filming of the ‘Da-Vinci Code’), the
Lawn Visitors Centre or the super Museum of Lincolnshire
life. Cobbled streets and ancient houses create a
wonderful atmosphere. Modern shops line the river
where, if you have the time, take an optional cruise.
A TOUR TO BOSTON for the morning market,
home of the largest windmill in Britain, the mighty
“Maund Foster”. A delightful town of interest. Then
on to Springfields Festival Gardens (Spalding); a
delight from Spring to Autumn with gardens designed
by celebrities Charlie Dimmock, Chris Beardshaw and
Kim Wilde, plus fantastic Outlet Shopping Mall offering
the very best in designer goods. We return to Woodhall
Spa mid afternoon. For those who wish (time permitting),
a visit to the nearby Air Force Museum - planes and
memorabilia from World War II (entrance not included).
THE FENS Travelling south and into the
Fens to the beautiful Butterfly and Falconry park.
We are met by our guide for a delightful tour of the
Wash Marshes. Returning to the park to see the largest
tropical greenhouses in the country, filled with exotic
butterflies and then thrill to the magnificent Birds
of Prey - a spectacular falconry display. A favourite
