LAKE
ORTA A relaxing day tour to the most
romantic of all the lakes, Orta. Romanesque
and Baroque architecture create a scenic splendour.
Visiting San Giulio d’Orta, an exquisite lakeside
town.
FRIDAY We return to Germany and our
overnight accommodation.
SATURDAY Returning through Belgium
and France to our last overnight quality hotel
SUNDAY Time permitting, a stop for
duty paid shopping before our return channel

4,000 ft, you can enjoy views of the Alps and the

mountains, gorges and tunnels, leading us on to
Italy and Lake Maggiore
OPTIONAL BORROMEO CRUISE Relax
in the hotel and local resorts or enjoy an optional
cruise to the famous Borromeo Islands. Little
private boats visit the 3 islands with their palaces
and gardens and fishermen’s villages.
PIEDMONT MOUNTAINS A day into the Piedmont
mountains. Stay with the coach or take the optional
little electric train which travels through the
Centovalli, a spectacular valley leading to beautiful
lakeside Locarno. Time here before your return
to Stresa by coach or optional lake cruise.
LOMBARDY & MILAN A lakeside drive to
Lombardy and the trend setting capital of Europe
- Milan. Elegant arcades, monuments and modern
lifestyle. Chance to visit the Gothic Cathedral
(Duomo), Santa Maria della Grazie (home of Leonardo
da Vinci’s “The Last Supper”), the extravagant
