• Enjoy a day in Cologne with a choice of markets
to explore. At the foot of Cologne Cathedral, you will
find the fascinating Christmas Market “am Dom” where brightly
decorated booths await you.
•The Christmas Market on the Altermarkt is picturesquely
situated in Cologne’s old town.By way of the shopping
streets “Hohe Strasse” and “Schildergasse”, you come to
the Christmas Market at Neumarkt and then on to the “Fairytale
Market” at Rudolfplatz. Against the historic backdrop
of the mediaeval Hahnentorburg, large fairy tale figures
and festive illumination providea special eye-catcher.
• Included excursion to Valkenburg. Set in the
wooded valley of the Gal, it has the feel of an alpine
resort. The small restaurant-ridden centre slopes up from
the fake castle railway station to the surrounding hills,
full of grottoes, castles and thermal spas.
